A Word From the Pastor....

Picture
Whether you attend our church, another church, or are  just stopping by, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I am both honored and humbled to be called to such an amazing church with an equally amazing heritage.
Let me start by telling you a little bit about me and my family. My wife and I got married in April of 2007. Though we love children dearly, the Lord has not blessed us with any of our own. So my wife and I have done foster care much of our married lives. We have had over 15 children in our home as of 2015. We feel that God has called us to reach out to our community in this way.  My wife grew up as a missionary child in Ukraine. However, I did not come from a Christian home. My wife used to live in a big city, but up until the time that I moved to Syracuse, I had never lived in a town with even a traffic light! I have my master’s degree in Theology and my wife is working on her master’s degree in Educational Administration.
We have worked with churches for more than seven years in Sunday Schools, teen church, Children’s worship, bus ministry, and more.
Before the Lord led us to Syracuse I pastored the Glen Iron Pilgrim Holiness Church. While at this church I worked at a drug and alcohol rehab where I learned a lot about people with addictions.
As a pastor I have many goals. My first goal is to make sure that my spiritual life is where it is supposed to be. I also want to be a good husband to my wife.  I want to make sure my parishioners are fed good spiritual food. That is why I strive to preach good Biblical messages every time I step behind the pulpit. Also I try to use everyone that wants to be used. I want to keep the people attending the Syracuse church as busy as they want to be. I also have a heart for outreach, to share the gospel with all that will hear the Good News. The potential for the Syracuse Pilgrim Holiness Church is great. I look at a city that is almost 750,000 people strong, and I see hundreds of thousands of potential Christians.
If you are one of those and would like to give your heart to Christ please contact me, I would love to talk with you. I would encourage everyone to take the time to stop by our church. Our friendly church would love to see you there.
